I woke up feeling blessed that those nightmarish sweats left me alone last night. I slept a little longer too.

I had my blood draw this morning so we were on pins and needles waiting for the results, and if my neutrophils were high enough then I could go for my Rituxamab infusion. It finally came in by early/mid afternoon and the news was positive!

My WBC count was at 5.0, the platelets and RBC counts hadn’t increased, but that didn’t matter. The key thing was that I would out of the neutropenic stage and dodged a lot of bullets on what could have gone wrong, but didn’t. Phew. Plus this means NO MORE PAINFUL FILGRASTRIM SHOTS.

However, the news was that I was going to have my Rituximab on Monday, not today. No problem, time to pack tomorrow (Sunday) and then I can plan my Monday more effectively now.

I have a noticeable improvement in strength, relatively speaking, and am SOOOOO excited to see Lisa this afternoon once her PCR arrival test done here in Monterrey comes back negative. It took forever (well, let’s keep in mind that minutes to me are like days, haha). Sometime before dinner she arrived her (Fernie met her and walked her over).

8am meds:

8am meds:
Dexamethasone .5mg
Pantoprazole 40mg
Ciproflaxin 500mg (anti-biotic) x 2/day
Acyclovir 400mg (anti-viral)
Itraconazole 100mg (anti-fungal)
Fenazopiridina 40mg x 3/day (up 3x/day for bladder pain)

No words for the picture, it says it all. Lots of tears…..
